NotesThis is an Alternator for the 1997-2000 Mazda Protege and KIA Sephia. This Alternator Has a New Plug Configuration ("P-D") From Earlier Mazda Models. Reports are That the "P" is Stator and the "D" is Excitation, and the Unit Does Not Use a Diode Trio. The Unit Has 1/2 of the Functioning Regulator in the Unit, and the Other Half is Elsewhere in the Vehicle. This Unit Requires a Special Adapter Harness (PD-9800) in Order to Be Bench Tested Properly (In Order to Avoid Damaging the Internal Part of the Regulator). The 13719 is the 80A Version of This Unit.
