| Notes | This is a Ford 3.6kw Starter for the 2001-02 Ford E and F-Series Trucks With the 7.3L Diesel Engine. The Earlier Used 16658 With the Proper Mounting Adapter Block and Longer Mounting Bolts Can Replace the 6669 (Despite the Fact That the 6669 Has 2 Mounting Holes and the 16658 Has Three). The Reason is That the Bell Housing Mounting Has a Third Tapped Hole, and the 16658 Will Mount Fine With the Proper Modifications Mentioned. Also, the Denso Unit 17802 and Mitsubishi Unit 17578 Will Replace the 6669 Without Any Further Modifications (Again the 3rd Mounting Hole on the 17578 Does Not Matter), Except the Vehicle's Battery Cable End "Tabs" Must Be Trimmed to Fit the 17802's Battery Stud and Insulator Tightly. The 17802 Can Also Replace the 17578 Used in Earlier Applications. |
