NotesThis is a 130A Ford 3G Alternator for 1997-96 Ford Contour and Mercury Mystique. This Has Been Determined to Be the Same as the 7774, as the Original Regulator (Thought to Be Different Initially) is Actually the Same 6 Second LRC as the 7774 Uses. The 7789 Has Been Superseded to the 7774 in the 2002 Catalog. Ford Has Issued a TSB (#98-9-10) About This Unit Possibly Not Charging in the Vehicle Due to a Bad Connection at the B+ Terminal. The Suggested Repair is to Replace the B+ Cable (#F5RZ-14300-FA) and Tighten Properly, or, if the Terminal on the Alternator is Damaged, Replace the B+ Terminal (#F3RZ-10329-AB) as Well as the Cable. This Only Applies to the 1995-98 Contour / Mystique. | This is a Ford 3G (130A) Series Alternator for Ford Contour / Mercury Mystique. This Looks Like the 7769 Used on Taurus, Except This Unit Has an Unthreaded Bushing in the Rear Mounting Ear, Whereas the 7769 Has a Threaded Bushing. They Also Use Different Voltage Regulators - the 7774 Has the Later "Rectangular" Shape. Ford Has Issued a TSB (#98-9-10) About This Unit Possibly Not Charging in the Vehicle Due to a Bad Connection at the B+ Terminal.
