NotesThis is a Ford 4G Series Alternator for Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable. This is Very Unique in Appearance in That the Unit Has Identical 4 ?" Mounting Spools on the Top AND Bottom of the Unit. This Has Been Referred to as a "Joystick" Mount By Some in the Industry. The Later Version, OE #YF1U-10300-EA, -EB (250-275A; 7780A) Has a "Lip" on the DE Housing, Along With a Wider Pulley (74mm OD) That is Designed to Fit Inside the Lip, Much Like Earlier Ford 3G Alternators Had. Also, the DE Frame of This Earlier Version is Designed so That When Trying to Fit the Later 74mm OD Pulley to it, the Edges of the Pulley Can Hit the "Ribs" in the DE Frame. In Order to Seperate the Units to Avoid This Problem, Lester Has Decided to Re-name the Later Version the 7780A (As of 11/2008). This Earlier Version Has the "Ribs" in the DE Frame and Uses the Smaller 64mm OD Pulley, While the Later Style (Now 7780A) Uses a "Non-Ribbed" DE Frame and the Larger 74mm OD Pulley Designed to Fit Inside the "Lip" Around the DE Bearing Hole. Also, the Later Version Uses a the 6G Rotor and Stator, Rather Than the 4G Parts Used on the Early Version.
