The 8244 is the Same Unit, Except Using a Regulator Designed for a Remote Battery Location in the Car. The 8284 is a Later Version of the Same Unit, With Minor BOM Changes. The 8284 and 8235 May Be Able to Be Used in Place of Each Other; This is Still Being Verified.
