NotesThis is a Delco AD237 Series, Which Looks Similar to the 8235, Except the Stator is Visible in the 8241, and the Bottom Front Mount is a "Slide" Mount, Rather Than a Mounting Hole. Also, the Pulley on the 8241 Has a "Clutch" in the Hub. GM TSB #01-06-03-011 Warns of a Possible Intermittent Low Voltage Problem Caused By Engine Vibrations Inducing the Alternator to Experience Field Discontinuity. This Results in a Voltage Spike Which Will Cause the Regulator to Reset, During Which Time the Output Drops Down Significantly. The Problem Was Found in the 10480341 (So Far), and it is Possible That the #10311493 May Solve This Problem (Different Regulator #). But to Be Sure, We are Urging All 8241's to Be Furnished With (and We are Cataloging as Such) the Delco #10458201 (or Compliant) Voltage Regulator, Which, at the Time of This Printing, Was the Regulator Shown to Replace Both the #10483643 and #19051915.
