NotesThis is a Ford 6G Alternator for the 2001-02 Mercury Cougar With the 2.5L Engine.. This Unit Looks Almost Exactly Like the 7796, But Uses a Different Regulator, B+ Insulator, and Pulley. The Only Real Difference Between the 8254 and the 8259 is that the 8254 Has a Threaded Extension on the Thru Bolt at the 1:00 Position, and the B+ Insulators are Different. Otherwise They Appear to Be the Same Unit.
